Limited Performance Warranty Policy

 

This Limited Warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or workmanship and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.

The limited warranty also DOES NOT COVER damage that occurs in shipment or failures caused by products not supplied by the warrantor.  

Failures resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, incorrect installation, set-up adjustment, implementation of/to consumer controls, improper maintenance, power line surge, lightening damage, modification, service by anyone other than a manufacturer-approved service centre or factory-authorized personnel, or damage attributable to acts of God.

There are no express warranties except as listed under “limited warranty coverage.” The warrantor is not liable for incidental or consequential damage resulting from the use of this product or arising out of any breach of this warranty.

For example: damage for lost time, the cost of having a person / persons remove or re-install previously installed equipment, travel to and from service location, loss of or damage to media, images, data or other recorded/stored content.

 

ANY PARTS AND SERVICE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER.

 

LatenTech warrants to the purchaser of the products (the customer) that the products manufactured by LatenTech are free from defects in the materials and workmanship in normal use as follows:

1) For a period of 1 years from the date of delivery to the Customer

2) In the event of products replaced or re-installed, the duration of limited warranty shall be the shorter of a period of half year from the date of replacement or re-installation or the remainder of the period described in 1) above

 

The limited warranty described herein does not apply to:

1) Normal wear and tear.

2) damages caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation, set-up adjustments, maladjustment of consumer controls, improper care or maintenance.

3) Damages or failures caused by repair or replacement using products not supplied, rebuilt, repaired or otherwise authorized by LatenTech.

4) The cost of normal maintenance or replacement of parts which are not defective (These are the sole responsibility of the Customer

5) Damages suffered as the result of fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, hurricane, or other casualty or acts of God.

This Limited Warranty is not transferable. All warranty claims must be made by Customer. This Limited Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of a defective Product at the sole discretion of the customer. Warranty claims must be filed within 30 days of discovery of the alleged defect. All warranty claims must be submitted to Smart Products India.

This limited warranty (And LatenTech shall have no obligation or liability under this limited warranty) unless and until LatenTech has received payment in full from the customer for the product.

LatenTech reserves the right to discontinue and/or make changes in any of its products. In the event that products identical to those covered by this Limited Warranty are not available for replacement purposes, LatenTech shall have the right to substitute reasonably equivalent products.

LatenTech shall in no event be liable for incidental, remote or consequential damages (including without limitation injury to persons or damage to any building or any content thereof) resulting from breach of this limited warranty.

 

Except for the limited warranty set forth herein, there are no other express of implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for particular purpose, and all such implied warranties are hereby expressly disclaimed. in no event shall any warranty extend beyond the duration of the limited written warranty set forth herein. this limited warranty shall only be interpret and construed in accordance with the laws of china and only be litigated in the courts of city of shenzhen in guangdong province.

 

Warranty Terms & Conditions   

LatenTech warrants product to perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials and to be free from defects in material and workmanship, which result in failure during normal usage, for a period of 1 year or 6 months, depending upon the product purchased, from the date of purchase.

If you discover a defect in a product covered by this warranty, LatenTech, at its option, will:

  • Repair the product by means of telephone support at no charge for parts or labor,

  • Replace the product with a comparable product which may be new or refurbished or,

  • Refund the amount paid for the product, less a reasonable allowance for usage, upon its return.

 

HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE UNDER THIS WARRANTY

LatenTech recommends that you first utilize support materials shipped with the product, product diagnostics, information contained on LatenTech website and email support.

This Warranty covers defects in manufacturing discovered while using the product purchased from LatenTech.

The Warranty does not cover physical damage, accessories & power adopters, loss of theft, nor does coverage extend to damage caused by abuse, misuse, improper storage conditions, lightening, accident, unauthorized modifications, repair or installation, or natural disasters.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY

Should the product fail, LatenTech will not be held liable to you or any third party for any damages that result from the failure of this product. Damages excluded include, but are not limited to, the following: lost profits, lost savings, lost data, damage to other equipment, and incidental or consequential damages arising from the use, or inability to use this product.

In no event will LatenTech be liable for more than the amount of your purchase price.

This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy, offered in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.

REQUIREMENTS

The cost of shipping to manufacturer, or authorized repair center or payment to any customs clearing fees or duties is upon customer's responsibility.

Should you feel your product does not function adequately due to defects in materials or workmanship, LatenTech (hereby referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length of the period indicated below?

a)   Repair the product with new or refurbished parts.

                                        or

b)    Replace it with a new or refurbished product.

 

Limited Warranty Period

Commencing from the original date of purchase, all LatenTech products are covered by a 1 year limited parts and labour warranty depending on the product and a lifetime warranty for HDMI cabling.

Please check the documentation received with your purchase for the warranty period of your product, or contact your LatenTech dealer for details.

During this period there will be no charge for unit repair, replacement of parts, unit components or replacement of product if necessary. The decision to repair or replace will be made by the warrantor. The purchaser must mail-in the product during the warranty period.

This limited warranty only covers the product purchased as new and is extended to the original purchaser only. It is non-transferable to subsequent owners, even during the warranty period.

A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date is required for the limited warranty service.

If repair is needed during the limited warranty period the purchaser will be required to produce a sales receipt/proof of purchase indicating date of purchase, amount paid and place of purchase.

Please note: the customer will be charged for parts or repair of any unit received without such proof of purchase.

 

Product Service Provided

1. Damage requiring service
This unit should be serviced by a qualified service personnel if:

  • The DC power supply or AC adaptor has been damaged.

  • Objects or liquid have gotten into the unit.

  • The unit has been exposed to rain.

  • The unit does not operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.

  • The unit has been dropped or the cabinet damaged.

 

2. Servicing Personnel

Do not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in these operating instructions. Refer all other servicing to authorized servicing personnel.

 

3. Replacement Parts

Should any parts need replacing, ensure those approved by the manufacturer are used – either specified by the manufacturer or parts possessing the same characteristics as the original parts to be replaced.  Please Note – unauthorized substitutes may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards and will invalidate your warranty.

 

4. Safety Check

After repairs or service, ask the service personnel to perform safety checks to confirm the unit is in proper working condition and suitable for use.

 

Mail-in-service

When shipping the unit, carefully pack and send it prepaid (preferably in the original packaging) with a tracking number and adequate insurance. Please include a document or letter detailing the reason for return and include a daytime telephone number and/or email address where you can be contacted.

If repair is required during the limited warranty period, the purchaser will be required to provide a sales receipt or other proof of purchase, indicating date and location of purchase as well as the price paid for the product. The customer will be charged for the repair of any unit received unless such information is provided.
